How to convert DVD to MKV video files on Mac?

1. Import DVD
Run Joboshare DVD Ripper for Mac. Click the "Add DVD" button to import the DVD file. Alternatively, you can click "File -> Open DVD..." to load the DVD disc. After the DVD disc is imported, there will be a list of DVD chapters/titles showing in the program. Tick the longest DVD title from the list. Double click this title and you will preview the movie in the program. Note: To rip encrypted DVDs, you can drag it to applications folder. the software will dynamically load DVD files if you have it in your Applications folder in Mac OS X.

2. Choose output format

Extend the "Profile" drop-down list and navigate to "General" sub-category to select an output audio format. Select "MKV (Matroska) Video (*.mkv)" as the output format. You can also click the "settings" to change bit rate, resolution etc. following your preference.
