1: How to load DVD?
You need to prepare for loading DVD: Download, install and start Joboshare DVD Ripper. There are two methods for your consideration in the next paragraph:
1) Click "File" drop-down menu and choose "Add DVD Folder..." or "Add IFO Files..." option in the menu bar.
2) Click "Open DVD" button or "Open IFO files" button in the toolbar.
Finally select "DVD Drive or DVD Folder" from the new dialog window and click "OK" button to load DVD. After the above operations, you will see the loaded info in the file list, such as "Name", "Duration" and "Chapters".


Tip: How to get Disc info?

1) Click "File" drop-down menu to choose "Get Disc Info" option.

So click "Open" button in the pop-up dialogue window. When the computer connects with the network, more DVD info will be downloaded to the new dialog window, such as "Title Name" and "Chapter Name".


2: How to select profile format?
We need to set profile's format as MKV, and choose "Common Video" or "All Profiles" from "Class" option, so operate DVD Ripper according to the next order:
1) Click the down-arrow mark in the right of "Class", then choose "Common Video" option.
2) Click "Profile" down-arrow and select "MKV HD Video Format(*.mkv)".

Tip: How to set parameters?
In order to adjust output settings, set parameters for "Audio" and "Video". Refer to the next steps:

You can trim video segments if some videos are intersting. First, select the files you want to convert. Second, click "Trim" button in the toolbar. And a new player - "Video Trim" will appear . Then click "Play" button in the left of new toolbar or drag progress bar to select interesting video parts. Finally, choose start and end point by "Set start" and "Set End" buttons. When you feel unsatisfied with the video segments, click "Reset" button to reset the video segments. So in the end, you will get satisfied MKV format files by clicking "Open" button in the toolbar.
