How to convert DVD to XviD movies?

Preparation: Download, install and run DVD to DivX Converter before you want to watch converted XviD movies.
Step1: Load DVD
Start DVD to DivX Converter at first. Then click "Open DVD" button to select a DVD or DVD Folder. You aslo choose "Add DVD Folder..." option from "File" drop-down list in the menu bar. After the computer load DVD, the Loaded DVD's information, including "Name", "Duration", "Chapters", "Target" and "Status" options will be shown in the file list.


Tip: How to get Disc info?
First of all, connect the computer with the Internet so that it can scan DVD info from the website database. Secondly, click "Get Disc Info " button in the toolbar, or choose "Get Disc Info" option from the drop-down menu of "File". Thirdly click "Open" button to get more Disc infomation. In the end, DVD to DivX Converter will retrieve Disc information to the new dialog window, such as "Title Name" and "Chapter Name".


Step2: Set output format
To set output format, select "Common Video" option from "Class" right drop-down list, and then click "Profile" right drop-down button, finally select "XviD Movie(*. avi)" format.


Tip: How to set parameters?
According to your requirements, set parameters for "Video" and "Audio" options. (The options' parameters under "General" can not be changed.) Click any options you want to set parameters and then choose proper parameters by clicking drop-down button on the right side of options.


Step3: Choose destination folder and Start ripping
To convert DVD to XviD movies, operate DVD to DivX Converter as the following order:
First of all, click "Browse" button in the toolbar to select a destination folder for storing XviD movies. Secondly, choose needed video files to convert from the file list. Thirdly click "Start ripping" button, and DVD to DivX Converter start ripping the selected video files. After that, the ripping process from the progress bar will appear in the file list. Finally, click "Stop ripping" or "Pause ripping" to finish conversion.


Tip: How to trim video segments?
You can clip the original video files into several parts to trim video segments. In the beginning, select a title or chapter from the file list. And then click "Trim" button in the toolbar to open "Video Trim" dialog window. Next click "Play" button and drag progress bar to select proper video segments. Finally click "Set Start" and "Set End" buttons in the new toolbar to set your favorite video segments. If you dislike video segments, click "Reset" button to reset new ones.
