How to convert DVD to AVI with DVD Ripper Platinum?

Step 1: Open DVD
Click "Open DVD" or "Open IFO files" button from the toolbar. Or Click "File> Add DVD Folder.../ Add IFO Files... " option from the top menu. Finally choose "OK" button in pop-up dialog box to open DVD.

Tip: Get Disc information
To see more DVD info, you can begin the next operations:
Click "Get Disc Info" button in the file list or choose "Get Disc Info" option from "File" drop-down list, and then select "Open" button in the pop-up dialog window. At last, you can see the loaded Disc info, including "Chapter Name", "Title Name" and so on in the file list.

Step 2: Select output format
1) Choose "Common Video" option from "Class".
2) Select "AVI-Audio Video Interleaved (*.avi)" format from "Profile" right drop-down list.
If you only convert some DVD titles or chapters, choose the needed DVD titles or chapters from the file list at first, and then start to select DVD output format as the above settings.

Tip: Set parameters

Step 3: Convert movie DVD to AVI

Tip: How to stop ripping?
If you want to pause or stop extracting video files, click "Pause ripping" button to pause converting process or click "Stop ripping" button to stop the ripping process.

Part 2: Clip video segments
The software allow you to clip video files into several parts, and it can support you to select favorite segments from the initial video files. You can view converted AVI format segments that ensure the ripping segments fitting the requirements.

1) Select video files you want to trim from the file list.
2) Click "Trim" button in the toolbar to open a new dialog window.

If choose the video segments you like best from the source video files, you should drag progress bar after click "Play" button in the new pop-up dialog window, which is shown as "Video Trim".
