How to copy movie DVD to DVD disc?

What would you do if you lost your entire movie collection? Wouldn’t it be nice to have some backups laying around in case someone scratched your precious Rudy video or your dog ate an entire season of the Simpsons?

A popular application called Joboshare DVD Copy lets you copy an entire DVD to a new DVD disc, and it bypasses any copy protection mechanisms that would make duplicating a store-bought DVD otherwise impossible. The only problem is that new copy protection algorithms are frequently being created, and this application hasn’t been updated since 2005.

For that reason you should use Free DVD (kudos to xpgeek in the forum for pointing this out). It can copy an entire movie to a new DVD disc while removing all traces of copy protection. 1. Insert movie DVD disc
Run Joboshare DVD Copy and insert a DVD-Video disc in your DVD-ROM. It will auto-detect all drives on your computer and show the information in the "Source" combo box and "Destination" combo box.


2. Specify the "Source" and "Destination"
Specify source DVD drive in "Source" combo box and specify target drive in "Destinationt" combo box. Then it will pop up a message box reminding you to select target disc type. There are three options (D5, D9, Custom ) to select.
Tip: You may have only one DVD ROM. Just select the same DVD Drive as the " Source" and "Destinationt ".



3. Copy DVD to Temporary File Folder
In this step, Joboshare DVD Copy will copy the source DVD to your computer temporary file folder. When copying, it will display the copying progress in main interface.


4. Copy to the "Destination"
After the source DVD is copied to temporary file folder in your hard disk, it will begin to copy the temporary file to your target.
Note: Here, it will pop up a message box telling you "Please insert an empty disc to write to...". At the same time your DVD RW Drive will be ejected. Insert a blank DVD, then click " Retry" button.


5. Complete Copy
Once copying completed, Joboshare DVD Copy will pop up a message box showing copy information including "Source", "Destination", "Copy mode", "Compress ratio" and "Time".
